Taco Soup

I make this recipe in my crockpot and let it cook all day long on low.

Ingredients

•2 pounds ground beef
•1 large onion, chopped
•2 cans pinto beans
•1 can whole kernel corn ,drained
•1 can stewed tomatoes - mexican style
•1 can Rotel tomatoes
•1 pkg. taco seasoning mix -(opt.)
•1 pkg. original hidden valley ranch dressing(dry)
•2 1/2 cups water or more, to make soup broth

Directions

In a big soup pot, brown meat with chopped onion. Mix in both dry seasonings. Continue to stir until meat is brown. Drain off any fat appearing. Add cans of beans, hominy, tomatoes, corn and chilies along with their liquid. Add enough water to soup to make it as you like it. Simmer slowly for an hour or so to blend seasonings.
